Work sample Year 7 History: Role and achievements of a significant individual

This work sample demonstrates evidence of student learning in relation to aspects of the achievement standards for Year 7 History. The primary purpose for the work sample is to demonstrate the standard, so the focus is on what is evident in the sample not how it was created. The sample is an authentic representation of student work and may contain errors such as spelling mistakes and other inaccuracies. In this work sample students: • identify the roles and achievements of significant individuals and groups, and the influences on the development of ancient societies • sequence events and developments to describe continuities and changes across societies and periods of time • identify and describe historical interpretations about significant events and people • use historical knowledge, concepts, terms and evidence from sources to create descriptions, explanations and historical arguments
